pioneered techniques to assemble international standard generators in Bangladesh about 20 years ago which was never done before by any company of Bangladeshi origin. Having this as a success ELECTRO advanced its march by introducing high quality energy meters and thus ELECTRO Meter Company Limited (EMCL) formed. Later in more recent times the name ELECTRO gave birth to ELECTRO Battery Company Limited (EBCL) which manufactures different types of lead-acid batteries for automotive, solar, industrial, etc. ELECTRO Solar Power Limited (ESPL) was formed in the early days of 2010. This is the first company of this country to manufacture solar panels locally. In 2012, Electro Transformer and Switchgear Company Limited (ETSCL) and Electro LED and Lights Limited (ELLL) were established. These companies manufacture world standard transformers, switchgears and various lighting solutions. ELECTRO also has 17 branch offices spread throughout the country to provide quick service and support. ELECTRO Mechanical Services Limited (EMSL) maintain these offices. EMSL is responsible for providing support, service and installation of Electro goods, especially generators and related items. ELECTRO also has an enriched Research and Development (R&D) wing along with an electronics branch which aid in all areas of ELECTRO, promoting and designing new products developed solely in Bangladesh and perform classified advanced research-based tasks to improve performances of ELECTRO products. ELECTRO is a group that believes in high quality local development rather than exclusive foreign imports.

Remember our Solar-on-Wheels Pump Project for BRRI (https://www.facebook.com/ElectroGroupBD/photos/a.307980862558953/1964756083548081/?type=3&theater)? It was designed to be a portable-movable small-scale solar pump that a farmer can afford. Irrigation season lasts for a few months and after this season the system remains idle, generating no benefit/income. To cope up with this issue, we recommended that an on-grid inverter is used during non-irrigation periods. The system will have no energy storage device with it and thus it will thus be an highly efficient and cost-effective one. We have recently installed such a system at BRRI, Gazipur as a proof-of-concept.

Electro Solar Power Limited (ESPL) has recently been visited by a delegation from Solartech (http://www.solartech.cn). We have been their authorized agent in Bangladesh for the last 6 years and still we are retaining that status. At present through us, Solartech's solar pump solution has been provided to a number of government, IDCOL and private programs. Our experience with their solar pump systems has been a great one.

During their visit to our factory, the delegation from Solartech appreciated the quality of our works. They were surprised to see how all concerns of Electro Group were operating from the same campus. They said that the successful projects that we have done with their systems have been a rare combination of their technology and our expertise.

We arranged a day-long training session and factory visit on request from Bangladesh Agriculture Research Council (BARC). Some 40+ officials from various departments (BARI, BRRI, BADC, BMDA, DAE, IDCOL, etc) of Ministry of Agriculture were present in this session. Mr. Shawon M. Shahryiar, AGM Electro Group, gave the training and presented the presentations. The goal of this visit was to enhance solar energy knowledge and build more strong mutual cooperation. The training session was a success for all. It helped all to clear concepts and share collective knowledge base. It also gave everyone an insight of how solar PV modules are manufactured in Bangladesh.

We also have CT or industrial meters, sub-meters, neutral-missing meters, etc. Currently we are working on smart energy meters, net meters and prepaid meters.
