Traveling to Barbados or been here before and the plates intrigue or confuse you?

Here’s how the plates are lettered.

They are alphabetically ordered to correspond with said parish but we do have Parishes with repeating letters so here’s a break down of the plate letters and the corresponding parishes.

Parish Letter Codes
A: St. Andrew
C: Christchurch
E: St. Peter
G: St. George
J: St. John
L: St. Lucy
M: St. Michael (includes Bridgetown)
O: St. Joseph
P: St. Philip
S: St. James
T: St. Thomas

We also have other plate letters outside of the parishes. Some of which are government owned vehicles and the plates usually go in this manner :

CD: Consular and diplomatic vehicles
MP: Military and police vehicles

The last two categories of plates are commercially owned vehicles and the PSVS

Those usually go in this manner:

Z: Taxis
ZR: Privately owned minibuses
C: New classification for commercial/trade vehicles
H:Hired/Rental Vehicles
