We’re pleased to announce that NRD Mechanical can now carry out Roadworthy/Safety Certificate and Certificate of Inspection (COI) inspections — including MOBILE INSPECTIONS!

✅ Light Vehicles – Safety Certificates
Vehicles up to and including 4.5 tonne GVM

✅ Light Vehicle COI Inspections
Vehicles up to and including 4.5 tonne GVM requiring a COI, including:
• Booked hire vehicles
• Booked hire rental vehicles
• Taxis
• Limousines
• Special purpose limousines

✅ Heavy Vehicle COI Inspections
• Registered heavy vehicles over 4.5 tonne and up to 16 tonne GVM
• Unregistered vehicles over 4.5 tonne GVM
• Unregistered buses with more than 12 seats

Excludes registered buses and licensed tow trucks.

✅ Light Trailer – Safety Certificates
Trailers over 0.75 tonne and up to 4.5 tonne ATM

✅ Heavy Trailer COI Inspections
• Registered heavy trailers over 4.5 tonne and up to 10 tonne ATM
• Unregistered trailers over 4.5 tonne ATM

Due to continued growth, we’re looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team based in Yeppoon.

If you’re someone who takes pride in your work, enjoys variety, and isn’t afraid to get your hands dirty, we’d love to hear from you.

🔧 The Role
• Workshop and field service work
• Repairs and maintenance on heavy earthmoving equipment, trucks and machinery
• Breakdown diagnosis and fault finding
• Opportunities to work across mining, quarry, civil and transport industries

✅ What we’re looking for
• Qualified Diesel Fitter / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (or equivalent experience)
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current driver’s licence (HR desirable but not essential)
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
