The plan was to finish just one race, so to walk away with 3rd place in the Bob Thurgar has exceeded our expectations.

I owe a big thank you to Braden Hall Jordan Hall and the boys from Xplicit Racing for getting their hands dirty all weekend. TAREE POWER BOAT CLUB for a great weekend of racing and my mini cheer squad for running to the rivers edge every race and cheering me on.

Special mention to Natalya McCombe who handles all my paperwork and licensing, tows the boat, looks after the kids, keeps me fed, you get the point…

We still have obvious issues and I’ve got the engine out ready to try again 😬
As Bob said, this boat has been repaired and resurrected hence the name Arisen, it’s been a long project and it’s far from over but spirits are high and we keep on keeping on 👊🏼🏁

First, from the other end… 😅

All things aside, we made it to Melton for the first round back in February but still had issues with the boat, specifically the temperature. We pulled out after Saturday.

We seem to have gotten the temp issue under control but are still working through a few other minor technicalities. I’ve had the boat in the water a few times since then and logged some good data to work with so it’s just a patience game for now (for which I have little of 😬).

Hopefully all things to plan - we should be having a decent crack next year.

Have also included a photo of my son Ryker at 9 months old back in February, little guy had to sit the Friday practice out after getting struck down with the flu, just as excited to watch it on the TV though. You can bet he was out in full force on the Saturday.

I have bred a clone - he loves all things with wheels and engines - pray for my better half, she will need it NaNatalya McCombe😂
