Everybodyloveshim: “Of course, Dazza.”

Me (tongue planted firmly in cheek): “Well, Brayden here is a talented barber, and well, we just wanted to let you know that if things work out well this morning, and this is just something to mention, you might just get a free haircut. We would never use the word bribe of course, but maybe you can see where we are coming from…?”

Brayden: 😳

Also Brayden (to himself): “Did we?? Will he??”

Everybodyloveshim (also tongue firmly planted in cheek): “I don’t even know what that word means!”

Brayden: “Free haircuts for life!”

🤣 🤣 🤣

So now it looks like you’ll be giving somebody free haircuts for life and, because you drove like a boss, you only have yourself to blame Brayden 😂

I was a little apprehensive when Lovesacanofv (your tester) asked you to carry out your first assessment (the eye sight chart), Ryan…

Not to worry!

You allayed those concerns when you read ‘Z’ as Zed (not Zee). 👌

Lovesacanofv’s would have taken a mark off you before you even got in the car otherwise😆

(Although, in his defense, if you were able to pronounce ‘H’ properly he would have given you that mark back 😂)

So a perfect start by you Friday morning at Pakenham East Vic Roads 🙌

And you kept that theme going too, mate!

23 minutes, 44 seconds and 8.98 km’s of driving excellence by you with the following being absolutely outstanding (and perfect):

Where do we start with a ripping young bloke like you, Thomas?

Well, given the first sentence is above we’ve already started I suppose 😆

(There, that was easy.)

But wait, there’s more!

During our first lesson it became very clear very quickly that you are a switched on young bloke and a fast learner.

It also became glaringly obvious that you are a well natured young adult with a terrific sense of humour.

Was there anything else that impressed apart from making my job way too easy and way too enjoyable?

Yep, there actually was!

It turns out you are also a selfless young bloke who spends hours every week volunteering at an Op Shop!

That is something to be respected and to be admired - good on you, mate.

Something else to be respected was the effort you put into you drive test preparation practice list 😎

And something else to be admired was your drive at Pakenham East Vic Roads yesterday morning resulting from that effort 🙌

How on earth did things go from you being in grade five to this, Tassie ???

Absolutely ridiculous is what it is!

However, here we are with you not being little anymore and your mum having run out of daughters on their L’s.

Of course, you will both be excited but there’s no doubt you both (particularly that lovely mum of yours) will miss that guaranteed regular one on one time together - so make sure you still take her on some drives, Tassie !

Speaking of drives…

Despite you thinking you drove terribly at Pakenham East Vic Roads this morning (which you definitely did not!) you did it and you did it very well 🙌

How good it it when your tester has a brilliant sense of humour, is easy going and does their utmost to have you feeling at ease, James?

(Well I can tell you it’s a lot better than when somebody makes their License Testing Office and driving instructor feel old by telling them that knock-knocking is actually called ding-ding ditch these days 🤣)

We weren’t contestants on the Price is Right, but you did end up with a pretty good prize though, mate!

And deservedly so.

A day off work is always a bonus for an apprentice plumber, so that was a nice start for you Kate.

However, the roads were wet and the rain just kept on pouring down.

It’s not often I say this but I was concerned about how such wet conditions may affect you during your drive test this morning.

Will Kate give in to her instincts or will she manage to control herself and make it all the way back to Vic Roads…?

As it turns out I needn’t have worried.

Why not?

Because we didn’t pass one single overflowing gutter or one single leaky down pipe so you didn’t have to deal with the urge of pulling over and fixing it.

🤣🤣🤣

Nothing else was ever going to be a problem for you at Pakenham East Vic Roads this morning though, Kate!

Expected drive test difficulty level: 10/10

Realized drive test difficulty leve: 3/10 😎

(Although you made it look like a 1/10 !)

Your superb car control and your excellent awareness were on display from start to finish, but in particular the following were outstanding:
