Built on DBA’s T2 design, the patented T3 bi-directional slot features additional precision CNC-machined, tri-symmetrical slots.

The increased number of exit points helps remove friction gases, dust and debris from between the brake pad and rotor. This supports consistent pad contact and a smoother, more responsive pedal feel under demanding driving conditions.

DON'T SKIP CLEANING THE HUBS

When installing new brake rotors, one of the most important steps happens before the rotor is even fitted.

Rust, corrosion and debris left on the wheel hub can stop the rotor from mounting correctly. Over time, this can contribute to issues such as brake shudder, steering wheel vibration and uneven rotor wear.

Before installation:

✅ Remove rust and corrosion from the hub face
✅ Clean around the centre spigot and edges
✅ Use emery paper or a wire brush where required
✅ Finish with brake cleaner to remove residue

A clean mounting surface helps ensure the rotor sits true and performs as intended.

The assembly of a DBA 5000 Series rotor starts with deburring and preparing both the aluminium hat and cast iron ring. The two-piece design is then secured using National Aerospace Standards (NAS) bolts and crimp nuts before being torqued to specification.

Every rotor undergoes a final runout inspection to verify assembly accuracy before moving to the next stage.
