This is the classic hand position many drivers learn first. Your hands sit higher on the wheel, like the numbers 10 and 2 on a clock. It can feel natural for some learners and helps keep both hands engaged, especially when practising basic control.

➡️ 9 and 3 position
This position keeps your hands level on each side of the wheel. It gives you strong control, allows smoother steering movements, and is often considered a more modern and comfortable option for everyday driving.

Whichever position you use, the goal is the same: keep both hands on the wheel, stay relaxed, and maintain good control of the car.
