Mk2 is off to Hammerhead Marine on Monday for a 100hp Suzuki Outboard fitment. Should go alright. Can't wait for sea trials it's been a long time coming.

We have officially relocated to 38 Mandalay ave, Nelly Bay, Magnetic Island. With a boat ramp 1.4kms from the shop sea trials are easy to arrange.

Our boats are made to commercial survey standards regardless if they are being used commercially or not. The only difference is whether they are inspected during construction. The build practices remain the same.
Not many leisure boat manufacturers do that.

I would like to clarify that the 4.5m single engine cat was designed with the single engine to reduce fitout costs and to be used primarily on dams, creeks and as a dory behind a mother boat. Its also more than capable of running offshore when the weather is good. If it blows up you have the piece of mind that you will get back in safely. You will be wet but it will be a fun ride. If your use is primarily offshore then i would recommend our 6m cats. They are a traditional twin engine design by Sherwood Marine Design built for offshore work. The single engine cat is not new but not easy to get right either. I engaged David Sherwood from Sherwood Marine Design in Fremantle WA to provide a design that incorporated the following;
- 4.5m single engine cat with a level floor, self draining deck and level floatation. It must also be able to withstand the demands of commercial fishing and work offshore.
What David delivered was outstanding. A very capable vessel that performs well in any conditions. An extremely strong, safe, stable platform. It excelles in rough weather.

The first production boat is under way. Having built the prototype #1 and tested it in all manner of conditions it became evident straight away of how capable the design was. After making a few cosmetic changes to the design a centre console version is being built right now here in Brisbane. It will be available shortly and no GST will be applicable to the first boat. In the mean time if anyone is curious I am happy to do sea trials in the prototype.
