Sheesh that was a busy week. We started off with a touring set up for a returning customer who had recently updated to a V6 Touareg in anticipation for a new van. Not many people are running a dual battery system, REDARC Electronics brake controller and a 3.5T towbar from Hayman Reese on their Touaregs, but this customer also has a similar system on a Golf GTI (it’s a weapon), and I’m all about doing the out of the norm set ups on vehicles, but properly coding Towbars on modern VW’s is such nightmare. Normal and stock are so boring. A massive thanks to FLUX3D for some incredible help putting it together, more on this on a future post.
After seeing a Discovery Sport being tuned in last weeks posts, two customers popped up for some ecu manipulation on theirs.
A couple of new to them og 4 cylinder Roks in for inspections (dpf issues, cracking found, replacement ordered) including an ex dog squad vehicle (yes the tub aircon remained with the vehicle for those dreaming of an aircon touring tub setup) in for tunes readying them for towing duties. Couple of og V6 Amaroks for ECU and TCU tunes followed those.
Then onto a couple of Panamericanas new builds. The blue one will look familiar, it was the one to sell at farm fest (I won Joel, you owe beer and you know it) however we updated it with a Arb Toowoomba Summit bullbar, STEDI LED Driving Lights driving lights and moved the GME Australia antenna onto the bulllbar.
Then onto a returning customers new vehicle, I don’t install customer supplied parts, or used parts, but since I was the one who installed this Uniden a few years back on the previous vehicle, it was out of the old one, into the new one on a new GMF4X4 bonnet mount. Hidden behind the grill 31.5” curved light bar (no cutting, no modification needed to fit the Panams) and a remote start key. Will be seeing this vehicle again this week when it gets taller.
If I can assist you with your vehicle, whether it’s new from the dealership, or just new to you, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
