Man it’s been hectic of late, and the way this year has been we’re so glad to keep trucking along. We can’t thank our customers enough for their support through this weird continuing economic time. We are having a bit of a break for the next few days, still checking phone and emails periodically so can still book work in. But the beers are calling, as is the kids for a swim so may take a bit to get back. We are back on board fully on Tuesday, we appreciate the continued support. Cheers

Another busy week, which we neglected to get many photos. However OM Consulting & Media popped in for a day to grab some quick videos of a new car build we completed for Wippells Volkswagen and put a nice edit together.

If I can assist with your vehicle tuning, accessory or ADAS calibration needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

‘You haven’t posted anything for a month’ says instagram, surely not. So photo dump time, we’ve been absolutely flat. Between Adas calibrations though ADAS Systems Australia , various bullbars from Arb Toowoomba and East Coast Bullbars - ECB , even a cheeky custom two tone paint job on a couple of bars, accessories from Lightforce STEDI LED Driving Lights RIVAL 4x4 Accessories , and of course our bread and butter being custom ECU and TCU tuning, man the time has flown.

If I can assist with your tuning and/or accessory needs don’t hesitate to get in touch. And for those workshops who have done work on a modern vehicle, and need to get the ADAS safety systems working properly with your new mods (yes even a suspension/tyre lift requires a calibration), don’t hesitate to get in touch with my sister business ADAS Systems Australia so your customers don’t have to go anywhere else, and their vehicle is complete once it leaves your workshop.

Cheers all

So was a brutal watch, with revealing his prostate cancer diagnosis. However his latest post has done an amazing job spreading awareness about getting checked early, which has seen a massive spike in those being tested.

So how’s that translate to a business post? As most of you know, I do a lot with Wippells Autos Toowoomba, not just work but rent my workshop through them. We have a great business relationship and it’s something I truely value.

Wippells does a lot in our community for charity and sponsoring a lot of good causes. A month ago Brett, the DP of Wippells, got in touch with a few business in the Toowoomba region that are tied to Wippells and asked for partnership in sponsoring a car, to be able to reach more men across regional communities, raising awareness for prostate cancer, delivering roadshow education programs, supporting specialist prostate cancer nurses, and providing vital PSA testing services where they are needed, in more regional areas then has been offered before.

Within an hour and a half of those phone calls, the car was paid for. Toowoomba always has had a small country town sense of community, and when it comes to a cause like cancer, it really shows how good of a community we truely have. I did ask for my business name to be put accross the windscreen ‘Fig Newtons’ style, but was politely declined. This Geely Toowoomba is off to Chinchilla within the week, great to be a part of a great cause, and always nice to see familiar faces when you go to the events.

Ahhhh Fridays, hard to beat them. Small businesses are hurting right now, but we are lucky enough to still be ticking along nicely, and that’s a massive thanks to all of our customers who keep recommending us to their family, mates and colleagues, it’s very much appreciated. Have a great weekend all.

Started off the week with a return of Brett’s Amarok. We got all the electrical accessories done last week, this week time for up. digressive lift and Tyrepower Toowoomba sorted the wheels and tyres, and it sits perfectly.

Next was a Arb Toowoomba Summit bullbar for a Pajero Sport.

Then onto the scoobie doo. Not many aftermarket options for the latest Wippells Subaru Crosstrek’s when it comes to bullbars, however Subaxtreme has got a lot of options for modern Subarus. This customer selected their Bullbar and bashplate for anything that comes their way.

Utemaster has just released their ‘gear force’ hardlid, and our customer was one of the first to get it. Comes standard with the dual rail tiedowns, gas struts and locks internally to the tailgate, so no additional wiring. Really nice bit of kit.

And finally, customer drive all the way from Roma with all of the lights on the dash. Found a few boost leaks, another failing dpf and a couple of wiring issues. Was able to get him back on the road trouble free. If I can assist you with your vehicle tuning and accessories, new or old, get in touch. Cheers

Sheesh that was a busy week. We started off with a touring set up for a returning customer who had recently updated to a V6 Touareg in anticipation for a new van. Not many people are running a dual battery system, REDARC Electronics brake controller and a 3.5T towbar from Hayman Reese on their Touaregs, but this customer also has a similar system on a Golf GTI (it’s a weapon), and I’m all about doing the out of the norm set ups on vehicles, but properly coding Towbars on modern VW’s is such nightmare. Normal and stock are so boring. A massive thanks to FLUX3D for some incredible help putting it together, more on this on a future post.

After seeing a Discovery Sport being tuned in last weeks posts, two customers popped up for some ecu manipulation on theirs.

A couple of new to them og 4 cylinder Roks in for inspections (dpf issues, cracking found, replacement ordered) including an ex dog squad vehicle (yes the tub aircon remained with the vehicle for those dreaming of an aircon touring tub setup) in for tunes readying them for towing duties. Couple of og V6 Amaroks for ECU and TCU tunes followed those.

Then onto a couple of Panamericanas new builds. The blue one will look familiar, it was the one to sell at farm fest (I won Joel, you owe beer and you know it) however we updated it with a Arb Toowoomba Summit bullbar, STEDI LED Driving Lights driving lights and moved the GME Australia antenna onto the bulllbar.

Then onto a returning customers new vehicle, I don’t install customer supplied parts, or used parts, but since I was the one who installed this Uniden a few years back on the previous vehicle, it was out of the old one, into the new one on a new GMF4X4 bonnet mount. Hidden behind the grill 31.5” curved light bar (no cutting, no modification needed to fit the Panams) and a remote start key. Will be seeing this vehicle again this week when it gets taller.

If I can assist you with your vehicle, whether it’s new from the dealership, or just new to you, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

It was an emission controls failure sort of week last week. First photo was from a single turbo Amarok. No amount of sensor swaps, ‘carbon cleans’ or regenerations was helping this vehicle. We see it so often, people put a scan tool in it, see a sensor fault and start throwing the parts cannon on it, or sell the snake oil carbon cleans. Any dpf over 80,000km needs a camera up the rear end to check for cracks, as the second the element is breaking down, it is unable to fully regenerate.

Well this one has obviously has never been looked at, as half the element hadn’t just cracked out, but was in the muffler down stream. Then onto an Audi q5 in for Adblue faults, a Landrover Discovery Sport in for blocked dpf, and a Mercedes sprinter in for a sticking EGR. And this was all before Wednesday lunch time. Such great and efficient systems.

Finished the week off with an nudge bar on a Subaru outback, nice not to get dirty for that job haha.

If I can assist you with your deisel tuning, deisel emission system faults and all your accessory needs, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Cheers

An unseasonal week of rain just before June, you know what that means. It’s time for all of the wood chips to be laid down and slushing around in the mud for the set up of for another year. We put a couple of mods on some new Amaroks for for their display. A V6 style with an Summit bar, LED spotlights with a tray from . We also installed a UHF on a bonnet mount bracket for those who want the use of a decent uhf antenna but not have a bullbar.

As I do every year with the display utes, a friendly bet has been made about which one will sell first, I’ve got a carton on the blue pan am, so if your looking for a great Ute before the end of tax season, and just as important, helping me win again, go see the team next week at their display and grab yourself a bargain before the end of financial year deals end.
