🚨 WE WENT LOOKING… AND FOUND OUT WHY THEY GOT STUCK! 😳 🚨

We got word of a possible abandoned vehicle after someone had gotten seriously stuck, so we headed out to investigate.

We couldn’t find the vehicle — but we definitely found the conditions! The Y62 needed the winch twice just to get through.

The old man — my dad — got the Y62 fixed up today and ready to go! 💪🚙

We got ourselves stuck in a muddy quicksand-style mud hole, which then led straight into a steep hill climb with a few decent holes thrown in for good measure. 😂

Lots of commentary coming from Amy in the passenger seat… “That’s not good…” 😅😂

Turns out even the recovery team breaks stuff! I just have to keep reminding myself — it’s a Y62, not a comp truck. 😂

Some RCVs have now been ordered, so hopefully this doesn’t happen again anytime soon! 💪

Lucky we had the winch! Managed to get ourselves out of the mess and limp the Y62 home safely. 😂

And a little reminder — don’t be a rev head either! Sometimes giving it more right foot just makes matters a whole lot worse… learnt that one the hard way. 😂😅

🌙 Night run out at Nundle.

What a magic place to explore after dark. We found a little puddle along the way, and the Y62 couldn’t resist giving it a hit! 😂 It just needs that supercharger whine now… hopefully not too far away.

Getting out in your 4WD and exploring is what it’s all about. But even the most experienced drivers can get caught out. Sometimes your mates can get you going again, and sometimes you need the right equipment, experience, and a fully insured recovery service.

Today our ride-on mower slipped into a muddy hole while on the job. Nothing too serious—just an easy winch out, and we were back to work in no time.
