Day Of The Drags Day of The Drags - For Drag Racers and Fans of old skool hot rodding and vintage drag racing Over the years it grew in both popularity and numbers.

Day Of The Drags began in 2006 as a private day for old school drag racing. DOTD 2011 was the first year as a public event held over two days at the world class Sydney Dragway. Old school drag racing for drag racers, open to pre-75 vehicles of Australian, American and European origin. Features cars include gassers, sedans, hot rods, classics, HAMBsters and early muscle cars. 2011 saw the field ope

n up to include Doorslammers and other 6 second sedans, slingshots and FEDs, including nitro dragsters. Judgement Day: Aus Vs U.S.A. is a spin off event (established in 2010) for muscle cars and classics of Australian and American origin. *Day of the Drags 2026 Postponed* new date - Saturday, 27 June 2026.
Unfortunately, the weather forecast has not improved for Saturday, and we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone Day of the Drags 2026 originally scheduled for Saturday, 28 February 2026.

Day of the Drags 2026 now has a new date - Saturday, 27 June 2026.

With 2026 marking the 20th anniversary of this iconic event, this new date gives us a great opportunity to make it even bigger and better. We are using this extra time to build something truly special and deliver a celebration worthy of this milestone year.

Competitor entries have also been reopened for the new date
All current ticket holders will automatically have their tickets rolled over to the new date.

If you are unable to attend on the new date, please email [email protected]. Including a proof of purchase will help us process your request as quickly as possible.

This time, with a twist!

For the 20th anniversary, we are breaking down the awards into categories.

Classic Car Show & Shine Award categories:
◾️Best Sedan
◾️Best Ute
◾️Best Wagon
◾️Best Hot Rod
◾️People's choice - A register will be on the eastern hill where any patron can cast their vote.

Judging ceremony will take place at 2PM, so make sure you're near your car to accept your award!
