SuperStock is proud to announce Sandy Iavazzo as are latest signing as a SuperStock Ambassador in Victoria, Australia!

Sandy is a well known figure in Victorian RC and one of our first memories interacting with Sandy was getting setup advise and tyre prep advise from him. This experience stuck with us and we have always earmarked Sandy as a potential Ambassador for the SuperStock Brand. Sandy races in the mod class and has returned to RC after a short break and he hasn't lost any speed. His job as a SuperStock Ambassador will be to build an epic RC MAKER SP2 team in Victoria, so if you are looking to jump on to one of the hottest brands in the market at the moment, speak to Sandy and he can point you into the right direction regarding option parts and setups for Victorian tracks. www.superstockrc.com will have more SP2 kit in stock soon once they are manufactured.

Feeling exhausted but extremely satisfied. Five big days (2 days travel) the South Australian State Titles for EP Onroad are done and dusted. SuperStock would like to extend a big thank you and acknowledgement to all the men and women who helped to run this event. It's the second time we attend an event at the Radio Racing Cars S.A. Inc. (RRCSA) and it struck me at the level of coordination and commaradery shown by the men and women of RRCSA. This club is definately one that leans on and runs on the hard work of some of its most life experienced members. Clubs are often run with blood sweat and tears and when you step back to look at what's been built, it's quite impressive. I think now is the time to say that, some of our most valuable RC community members also need time to enjoy their RC, take a step back and let the next generation take the reigns.

To those who are younger, maybe it's time we made our mark behind the scenes as much as we make our mark in the limelight, because good clubs need fresh, dedicated, dare I say, younger people to step in for the next few decades.

If you would like to help at your local track, speak to a Committiee member and see where you can fit. The RC community needs as many cogs as possible to run as effortlessly as possible, and this means we need to step in where we can.

The club will be running the EP nationals in 2027, let's hope rain holds off and let's look forward to another great event.

This is an insane achievement and proof of really, how much the driver and setup knowledge matters. You can have one of the best cars out there but if it isn't being piloted by a capable person, and setup right, it means nothing.

It also shows the importance of setup knowledge because I'm sure that the setup, largely, was done by Ryan.

They often say a good driver can drive any car, well, you also need the setup knowledge to set it up.

Two sides of the coin, now fullfilled by RC MAKER . This really is a big deal in so many ways: 1) Volker back on top 2) Rcmaker striking a huge blow against the top brands 3) proof the SP2 isn't a gimmick 4) Ryan's setup capacity is legit 5) Australia's first ever touring car hits a milestone.

Something a little different for the sake of testing on low grip tracks here in Australia. We've decided to install the Awesomatix ZA fwd zero ackerman steering arm set to the A800rr. The ZA servo mount arm is roughly the same length bar the final positions of the inboard ballends on the ZA setup being slightly forward by a mm or so. The servo horn linkage position that connects to AM180FX-LA seems to be the exact same position as the steering link position on the FSS servo mount set.

When the ZA set is installed onto the A800rr with stock steering arms (AM14LS) the outside tyre has 3 degrees more steering while the inside wheel has 1 degree less. This will give more initial steering feel and steering input reactivity when compared to the standard FSS setup. Here in Australia, our tracks tend to be lower grip, tight tracks so extra angle can help you get more initial reactivity on initial turn in.

You could attempt to try using the ZA steering arms, but I didn't bother for now.

Too much steering angle on higher grip surfaces makes the car hard to drive or in extreme situations, traction rolling. It also loads up the tyre and works it harder as the angle at peak steering is greater on turn in, so this is really only a mod that would benefit tight tracks and or low grip tight tracks.

The aim is to have the car steer via rear end setup but allow the front to have more angle if needed simply via steering input and radio setup when it's needed.

This mod might also be helpful when running long top arms on low to medium grip tracks. Long arms remove peak grip but extend the overall grip curve meaning initial steering input can sometimes feel a bit slower when using longer arms, getting some extra degrees of steering on the loaded side when turning in can give back that sharp turn in feeling. You can also get this via a higher servo link angle at the servo horn end. Getting your steering angle right so you don't slow the car down too much due to scrub entering a corner while getting the turn in you need via setup is all a balance. This is just a wild thing to try after you've tried all your other setup options FIRST👌.
