October is officially booked out and there is extremely few November bookings available.

Please also note moving forward all booking turn around times will be extending as due to personal circumstances I am returning to full time work outside of Throttle & Thread which means I will be still doing the custom work but in my spare time only moving forward.

Finally got to spend some hours in the workshop today. Still unwell but improving and hoping to be fully back on board next week, health permitting.

Today i got to finish a client project I was in the middle of when i first came down sick. These seats were given to me with 3 requests: full comfort upgrade, green stitching and to showcase what I want with the design.

Que a random memory that I have an domestic embriodery machine that i had forgotten i owned 🤦 and the random thought of will it work on marine vinyl?.... well it indeed works infact, amazingly and next was how can i blend multiple greens into the design to give it a more 3d lighting effect and thus this design was born.

Sometimes all you need is a spark of inspiration.

Unfortunately, it's been abit quiet here this past week as we managed to catch Influenza A at a concert, meaning we had to put off this weeks work while we recover.

We are hoping to be back onboard by mid this coming week at the lastest. We thank our amazing customers for their understanding and allowing us to extend their build times while we recover

Another odd one this week...

Well what first came to me as a simple foam upgrade and a covers mounting job, turned into a very complex and interesting scenario. As the company the covers were purchased from sent the wrong year model, so they didnt fit and the issues followed from there but the client was amazing to deal with and between us we figured out a plan and thus the frankenstein job began.....

These Aprillia Tuono V4 seats got a foam overhaul, cause omg I dont know how anyone could ride with seats so rock hard 😱. From there it was time to cut up the covers, create a new pattern and add some extra vinyl in places we were short from the original covers. Then there was issues with getting the creases out and getting the material to stretch correctly for mounting due to the materials provided being heat sensitive but in the end it all worked out.

They arent what I would call perfect but what we achieved with the materials provided I think looks rockin!

Some jobs are just built to test your resolve and some seats have a story and these are deffinately one of them.

Well I'm suppost to be off for the week, but alas I still have a few pieces I need to get done as deadlines have moved over the weekend, one of which is this 2021 Kawasaki Vulcan seat.

This one is a little different as not only does it have a Nano-Gel upgrade but it also was rebuilt with a 25mm Visco-Gel Memory Foam topper so omg talk about comfort on long rides!!!!
