Some things become part of you long before you realise where they’re going to take you. 🚲

For me, it started with BMX.

Riding was my outlet growing up. It gave me somewhere to go, something to focus on and a way to express myself when life wasn't always going the way I wanted it to.

Years later, the bikes are still here — they just look a little different.

From BMX and freestyle, to mountain bikes, road bikes and now chasing the Ironman dream, two wheels and pedals have been a constant throughout my life.

That’s a big part of why I started True Spoke Cycles.

It's not just about repairing bikes for me. I genuinely care about the people who ride them. Whether you're racing BMX, smashing trails on an MTB, lining up for a road race, commuting to work, or training for your first triathlon — I understand what that bike can mean to you.

Because I've been that kid with a bike.

And I'm still that guy who gets excited about bikes.

🔧 GOLD SERVICE — COMPLETED

Another bike through the True Spoke Cycles workshop and this one needed a bit more than a basic tune-up.

This bike received a Gold Service, with additional drivetrain and cable work carried out to get it running properly again.

🔩 Work completed:
• Full Gold Service
• 2 × gear cable replacements
• 4m new outer cable housing
• New cable end caps & crimps
• New cassette
• New chain
• Full gear adjustment & indexing
• Full safety and component inspection
• Final setup and test check

During the inspection we also found the rear hub bearings starting to fail. They're still serviceable for the short term, but the customer has been advised that a rear hub service should be done soon.

No unnecessary work. No bu****it. Just an honest assessment of what the bike needs and getting it back running properly.

This Focus came to us with the basics — no cranks, no Di2 and plenty of work to do.

We stripped it back, rebuilt it from the ground up and brought this rig back to life. 🔥
