We’re pleased to announce the commencement of a new remediation and waterproofing project at a residential complex in Sydney’s harbourside suburb of Mosman, delivered in collaboration with .

This project involves the upgrade and rectification of the common-area walkways, with a focus on long-term durability, waterproofing integrity, and improved drainage performance.

Our scope of works includes:
• Demolition of existing tiles, screeds, and waterproofing systems
• Concrete spalling repairs where required
• Installation of new cavity flashings and weepholes to adjoining brickwork
• Upgrades to strip drainage and stormwater systems
• Installation of new waterproof membranes and screed toppings to achieve compliant falls
• New tiling and topping finishes to the walkway and fire hydrant areas
• Rendering and painting of adjoining surfaces

Working within occupied residential environments requires careful planning, communication, and attention to detail, and we look forward to delivering another high-quality outcome for the residents and stakeholders involved.

𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴

At our recent Foreman Meeting, the team took a deep dive into a new Fatra waterproofing system currently being delivered on one of our live projects in Darling Point.
The session focused on both the technical installation process and the sequencing required to deliver the works safely and effectively in a live environment. The system was developed in collaboration with RHM Consultants (.consultants) and the Fatra Australia () Design Team to get the falls, valleys, door threshold heights, outlet locations, existing beam constraints and cavity flashing details right.

The system build-up included:
• Fatrafol 810V PVC-P polyester reinforced waterproofing membrane
• Fatrafol 807V fully adhered system to screeded areas
• Fatra Stick Vapour Barrier
• Kingspan ThermaPro insulation
• Innopro PVC primer
• Fatra PVC pads and telescopic tube detailing components

The Darling Point project involved removing the existing failed waterproofing system and installing a completely new build-up with corrected falls to eliminate water pooling issues across the roof surface.
A major focus of the discussion was staging. The works needed to be carefully sequenced so each section could be prepared, boarded, waterproofed, and detailed without leaving large areas exposed to the weather. This staged approach allowed the team to progressively confirm drainage performance before proceeding further across the roof.

These meetings are an important part of how we continue to share knowledge across our sites, improve workmanship standards, and ensure our teams understand not just how to install systems correctly, but why the methodology matters.

𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻

We’re excited to be back in Mosman, working on a truly stunning site right on Sydney Harbour.

Having completed extensive external remediation works to this building back in 2019, MAX Build has been re-engaged to deliver a new phase of upgrades, this time focusing on alterations and additions to the pool and surrounding areas.

The scope includes:
• Demolition of part of the existing pool
• Construction of a new pool shell
• New plant room and services
• Installation of a platform lift
• Upgraded paved areas and landscaping

It’s great to continue our relationship with this building and contribute to enhancing such an incredible harbourfront setting.

We're proud to announce the successful completion of remedial works at a residential complex in Wollstonecraft, delivered on schedule in partnership with ACOR Consultants.

What started as an exciting collaboration has wrapped up as a project we're proud of. Over the course of the works, our team delivered:
• Waterproofing & tiling to the rooftop and balconies
• Façade upgrades, including the replacement of combustible cladding
• Supply & installation of windows and doors
• Render repairs & painting

Projects like this one are a reminder of why we do what we do — restoring buildings, improving safety, and giving residents peace of mind for years to come.

A huge thank you to our MAX Build team, whose hard work and dedication made this project a success — in particular, Project Manager Brent Rae-Millar and Site Manager Kyrin Chan for their outstanding effort from start to finish.

At MAX Build, professional development is for everyone.
We recently sent three of our crew — 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹 𝗛𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗼𝗻 (Leading Hand), 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗲 (Site Engineer), and 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀 (Labourer) — to the Training Academy to complete their 𝗟𝗶𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗱 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲.

What do we love about this? A leading hand, an engineer, and a labourer — all in the same room, learning together. That's the kind of culture we're building at MAX Build.

The course gave the team hands-on experience with liquid-applied waterproofing systems, covering everything from surface preparation and correct application techniques to detailing, compliance with Australian Standards, and understanding where and why failures occur.

Coming away with both the theory and the practical know-how means our crew aren't just following a process — they understand it.

MAX Build is proud to announce the commencement of remedial building works to a residential block in Sydney’s beautiful harbourside suburb of Darling Point.

This carefully considered scope includes the demolition of existing roof structures, drainage works, perimeter hob construction and capping installation, concrete spalling repairs to the roof slab, and a complete upgrade of the waterproofing system.

With every remedial project, our focus remains the same: to deliver practical, high-quality solutions that protect the building’s long-term performance while maintaining the highest standard of workmanship throughout the project.

We’re proud to be commencing a remedial construction project in Zetland, delivering critical works to address water pe*******on, building deterioration, and other structural issues at this apartment building.

Working alongside our project partner, Diagnostech, this project involves a comprehensive scope of remedial works designed to restore building performance, durability, and long-term integrity.

𝗦𝗰𝗼𝗽𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗲𝘀:
• Balcony and roof re-waterproofing
• Window and door replacement
• Window head flashing installation
• Wall remediation
• Façade repairs, including concrete spalling, render, crack and joint repairs

Remedial projects like this are important in protecting existing assets and ensuring safer, more resilient outcomes for residents and owners.

MAX Build is excited to share that we’ve commenced an early works project in Tamarama — preparing the site for the future construction of a multi-storey residential building comprising 5 high-end apartments in one of Sydney’s most beautiful coastal pockets. We're proud to be working on another stunning building with Architects Nicholas + Associates and the client-side project managers at Fabrik Property.

This early phase is all about setting the project up for success, with a strong focus on safety, protection of the public realm, and careful planning.
