🚨 Important Business Update 🚨

After careful consideration, extensive board meetings, and at least three discussions that started with "what if", we've decided to go on holidays.

During this time, we've delegated all phone enquiries to our office lady.

Seeing as we are the office lady, this means we won't be answering.

If your caravan develops a new noise, leak, electrical fault or spontaneously disassembles itself, we politely ask that it lowers its expectations, keeps it to itself, and holds together until we're back.

We will be returning on Monday 13th July.

Feel free to call, leave a voicemail, send a text or email. We'll respond once the holiday has worn off and we've accepted reality again.

JAYCO REAR WING CONVERSION

One of the most common issues we encounter is cracking of the factory Jayco rear spoiler.

Following a review of multiple failures, we developed an alternative rear wing system.

The design process was based on several established observations.

Aircraft utilise wings.

Formula 1 vehicles utilise wings.

GT race cars utilise wings.

Based on these findings we knew what needed to be achieved.

Big = Yes

Observed outcomes to date include:

• Reduced spoiler cracking — Yes
• Increased wing — Yes
• Improved visual authority — Yes
• Increased caravan — Yes

Units are manufactured to order.

Current lead time is approximately 12 weeks.

This setup “worked” — but it wasn’t safe.

We found:
❌ Poor cable routing
❌ Incorrect/limited fuse protection
❌ Undersized wiring
❌ Messy, unreliable layout

Rewired from the ground up with:
✔ Correct cable sizing
✔ Proper fuse protection
✔ Clean busbar distribution
✔ Secure, serviceable layout
✔ Labelled

With very minimal working space to rectify it’s now safe, reliable, and built properly.

When off-the-shelf parts won’t work… we build our own. 🔧

This generator slide was an ultra-tight fit — once it’s in, there’s zero wasted space. It literally just kisses the shelf above. Every millimetre was the difference between the generator fitting or not — both horizontally and vertically. (Test fit more times than we’d like to admit 😅)

The ruler needs a holiday after this one.

Now the generator slides out smoothly and is far easier to store and use.

American-built vans don’t always make it easy — plenty of non-standard sizing and unique construction methods.

This one definitely challenged us, but we got it rebuilt, solid, and back on the road 💪

🚐🔧 Hidden Issues Found During Awning Replacement

While replacing an awning, we uncovered a major sealing issue, the roof sealant had completely separated from the roof surface! Surprisingly, it had bonded to the hatches this time but not the roof itself. Left unnoticed, this could have caused serious water damage down the track.

We also discovered two windows with the very early signs of leaks. These were caught just in time and re-sealed before they could become bigger problems.

👉 This is why regular inspections are so important. Small issues, if left unchecked, can turn into costly repairs.

📅 We’re currently booking jobs for mid-November — so if your caravan needs a check-up or reseal, now’s the time to secure a spot!
