REGO vs ROADWORTHY β Do you know the difference?
Just because a car has registration doesn't mean it has recently passed a safety inspection!
Here's what you should know before buying a used car:
REGO (Registration)
Means the vehicle is registered for road use, subject to legal requirements.
RWC (Safety Certificate)
Confirms the vehicle met Queensland's minimum safety standards at the time of inspection.
Remember: A Roadworthy Certificate is not a guarantee that a vehicle has no mechanical problems.
Before buying your next car, always check the registration status, safety certificate and vehicle condition.
