Work orders are usually pretty vague, which can be annoying. This job came through saying that the car was stuck on the door, so we asked for some photos. It didn't take long to work out that it was going to be another fun late night.

It took a little bit longer than the 15-20 minutes I said, but the door is completely operational until it gets replaced.

Sometimes you've just got to get the tools out and get on with it.

This one is definitely not the worst we've had to attend late at night, but it is well and truly in contention for a podium.

And yes, we got it working until a new door is ready.

This one came down on the roof of the car and didn't reverse as it should have. Why? Because it was set to maximum force. This put so much pressure on the top panel it folded before our client could push the remote to stop the door. A new door and motor were fitted and programmed correctly.

Uncle Ben said it best, "With great power comes great responsibility."

While motors aren't as powerful as they used to be, they are definitely still capable of causing injuries when set up incorrectly. It could've been a pet or child instead of a car.
