Turns out Melbourne’s time with the Bugatti Bolide isn’t over after all.

Previously thought to have departed Australia after its appearance at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival last year, the 2024 Bugatti Bolide has now been spotted back on Melbourne streets early this morning.

Just 40 examples were built worldwide, with the track-only hypercar powered by Bugatti’s legendary quad-turbocharged 8.0L W16 producing a scarcely believable 1,185kW (1,578hp).

Still one of the wildest cars ever to touch down in Melbourne.

Very well spotted, .jc!

We had the opportunity to take the new Ferrari 849 Testarossa for a spin on Friday.

If that wasn’t already the opportunity of a lifetime, Melbourne sealed the deal with the fog lifting to reveal a classic bluebird day.

This is Ferrari’s new flagship model, and it feels it. The shape alone is as supercar as you can get. The rear winglets and heritage-inspired elements have been polarising, but the package is cohesive on our read.

While there are heritage references in the styling, the plug-in hybrid drivetrain is firmly current-day. It’s a 4.0L twin-turbo V8 paired with three electric motors, producing a whopping 772kW (1050cv).

Our drive was mainly confined to built-up areas, but be assured, you can sense this car wants to be unleashed.

Thanks to for the opportunity. If you saw us out, let us know!

What do we think of the new Lamborghini Temerario’s distinctive high-revving V8 exhaust note? Redline of its 4.0L twin-turbo V8 is at a silly 10,000 rpm.

A little different for MCS, and a bit far from home.

Audi flew us to Byron Bay last month for the launch of the new Q3.

Here are a few impressions from behind the wheel.

A bit sooner than we expected, here’s a Mercedes-Maybach SL 680 spotted on Flinders Street after making its local debut at the Australian Grand Prix earlier this year.

The illuminated grille, Maybach motifs across the bonnet and cloth roof, and distinctive 36-spoke wheel design certainly command attention. What do you think of it?

Very well spotted, !

We spent the weekend getting around Melbourne in maybe the most overt display of opulence and wealth you can imagine.

For all its elegance and understatement, the Bentley Continental GTC Azure STANDS OUT. Add a near-$2 million number plate and it almost becomes a giant “f-you” to everyone you pass, as one friend and follower suggested to us.

It’s that road presence, despite the lack of bright colours or aggressive styling, that surprised us most.

And it wasn’t just visual. The car we had was fitted with the optional Akrapovič titanium exhaust, which enhanced the 4.0L twin-turbo V8’s burble. Deceptively loud even at low revs (reverb off buildings will remind you of that), but not lairy.

Just as much as we enjoyed the exhaust note, switching it into pure-electric mode came in handy when we felt like being a bit more discreet. Reverse-parallel parking outside a busy cafe, for instance.

Pair EV Drive with the roof down, though, and pedestrians forget you can hear everything they say. Countless comments were made about the car and its number plate over the weekend, all with a note of curiosity.

Perhaps this car’s most curious element is its price tag. To get the one we drove in your driveway (sans number plate), you’d have to part with $770k. That’s serious money no matter how elegant the package.

Thank you to the friendly team at for the loan.

Also don’t @ us, Moby’s Porcelain isn’t in the Instagram library, so we had to use A$AP’s sample.

Our ride to the Supercars & Coffee on Sunday was this brand new, carbon-fibre-laden Verde Mercurius Lamborghini Temerario.

Initial impressions are: 1. this thing has ridiculous road presence, with the exposed rear tyres giving it big Batmobile energy, and 2. it ain’t pretending to be the V10 of yesteryear.

The hybrid V8 Temerario is a distinctly different experience - and certainly not a bad one - but one that now feels a little more aligned with its competitors.

Let us know what you think, and whether they’ll become as popular as Huracáns in Melbourne.

See the Bentley Continental GTC Azure in the background too? It’ll be joining the MCS garage this weekend, so let us know if there’s anything you want to know.
