F. Vitale and Sons transport has introduced its first Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin. Straight out of the box, the new truck is setting the best fuel efficiency numbers in the fleet, even when it is towing heavier loads.

Frank Vitale is a big fan of the new Actros, describing it as ‘amazing’. “It’s so quiet, so comfortable, and so good to drive".

The Mercedes-Benz Actros ProCabin has won the 2026 Australasian Truck of the Year award.
The judges, from Australia and New Zealand, have just made the announcement at the NZ Road Transport Hall of Fame in Invercargill, New Zealand.

Without truck technicians, Australia and New Zealand stop. Congratulations to Brendan Haldane from Daimler Trucks Huntingwood who was crowned the 2026 Mercedes-Benz Trucks Technician of the Year following the finals held recently in Melbourne.

Hats off to Peter Briggs from Daimler Trucks Brisbane who finished second and Archie Rousell from Daimler Trucks Brisbane who was third.

They join six Actros trucks that joined the fleet two years ago and quickly proved their worth.
