Do you know what the MAIB does in Tasmania?

We directly support any Tasmanian involved in a crash on our roads. That ranges from short hospital visits to life long care.

To reduce the number of crashes on our roads, we also work with road safety initiatives. In a perfect world, the MAIB would not have any clients, and that is something we strive for.

This clip was taken from our Road Safety Week event held at Hobart City High School. To see the whole talk, visit our YouTube Channel.

During Road Safety Week, we hosted a pledge signing event at Hobart City High School

Year 10 students from the school heard from MAIB CEO Paul Kingston, Dr Jenny Jamieson from the Royal Hobart Hospital, Richard Jones from Paraquad Tasmania and Vanessa Castle and Kelly Cordwell from Tasmania Police. Each speaker discussed the importance of road safety and how young people can avoid serious and fatal car crashes.

At the end of the event, speakers and students collectively signed the Road Safety Pledge to keep themselves and others safe on the road.

Thank you to:
Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) ParaQuad Association of Tasmania Inc. and Tasmania Police for your involvement.

When Clarissa began navigating healthcare services, she often struggled to communicate her needs and felt overwhelmed by the process.

Our latest case study explores how the Brain Injury Association of Tasmania's About Me program helped her build confidence, find her voice and advocate for herself.

Supported by the MAIB Foundation, the program is helping Tasmanians access the support they need and achieve better outcomes.

We recently sponsored and presented at The Dark Side of Rehab, a symposium discussing the difficult path people navigate as they recover through rehabilitation. Throughout the symposium we heard amazing presentations from experts in rehabilitation, safe work practices, mental health providers and technology.

Rehab providers are an integral role in recovery, and it was great to connect with providers, share and learn together.

Thank you to the Tasmanian Association of Vocational Rehabilitation Providers - TAVRPfor facilitating such an insightful event.

The MAIB Foundation provides students with the formal ATV qualifications that local farmers value most.

This training turns classroom learning into immediate employment, giving the next generation of primary producers the certified skills to launch a professional career in agriculture.
