I'm not perfect, nor do I claim to be. Yes, I make mistakes too. This LS Commodore I did some repairs on. Around 8 weeks later, the customer called worried the check engine light was on and poor performance. Upon inspection I found the MAF sensor had dislodged rubbing on the power steering pulley. Damaged sensor, wiring connector & blown fuse. I sourced new parts, and had this up and running again. $800 repair at absolutely no cost to the customer. Own your mistakes.

One of the trucks below blew a diff on the Monash freeway. After it being towed to the customers property in Tooradin, I was able to source a diff from Brisbane and get it going again.
New customer of the little Corolla asked me for a second opinion- low compression on one cylinder, confirmed with testing and photos inside the combustion chamber to show the customer. With over 450,000klm on the clock I managed to find and replacement engine with only 105,000klm. It was more cost effective to replace the engine than repair the old one.
Misfire and blowing smoke on a Colorado, diagnosed. Not the best news for this customer, unfortunately, a cracked piston.
Add to that, servicing, logbook servicing, electrical repairs, suspension repairs, and a DPF fault all sorted.

Celebrating Penrite's anniversary. I've always used Penrite oils and lubricants. Unfortunately, I did find out from my supplier that ALL brands of oils will be increasing in price within the coming weeks due to the "oil crisis". I will be stocking up as much Penrite products as possible before the price rise to keep the cost to you down as long as possible. I will NOT be changing to inferior brands in order to save a couple of dollars. Sticking with trusted products is the only option for longevity of your vehicle.
A bit of info in the pics of a few recent service and repairs.

Saving customers money πŸ’°. Two Falcons below had exhaust leaks in the same area. Welding these up saved these 2 customers over $1000 each in replacement parts. Repairing instead of just throwing parts at vehicles may seem old school to some, although I know if it were my vehicle, I'd want to save wherever I can whilst still having the same outcome. On top of that, a few on-site services & repairs as well as local servicing, repairs, brakes, DPF fault & oil leaks.

πŸ’₯Ranger DangerπŸ’₯

If you own a 2.0 litre Ranger or Everset I highly recommend having you wet belt seen to ASAP.
These originally had a service life of 250,000klm, it has since been revised down to 160,000klm, BUT, if you've got a poor service record or the incorrect engine oil has been used there are reports of these breaking from 90- 110,000klm! Breakage can cause catastrophic engine damage including bent cam shafts and broken followers. If you're lucky, that will be all the damage.
They can be viewed through the oil filler hole, but only a small section of the flat side and not the teeth themselves, therefore not giving an accurate idea of life expectancy or wear. With parts being on backorder I was lucky enough to purchase the last of the few aftermarket belts and the very last of some genuine parts in Australia for this lucky customer.

A couple of weeks back into the new year and straight back at it. Local repairs/ servicing as well as some on-site jobs at various locations. Luckily we fell back into a long Australia Day weekend, I needed a rest 🀣🀣🀣. Don't forget, bookings are generally 2 weeks in advance so try not to leave things until the last minute.
