Ladies and gentlemen,

It’s been a busy year again and filled with lots of hard work and effort!

Another year down an big list of first time passes (142) 🚗✅👍 with still a couple more before the year is done 🤞

Thank you to all the parents for trusting in me and thank you to all of my students for the hard work you’ve put into your driving. ❤️❤️

I always cherish the laughs, the crazy moments, the arguments (there’s no point in arguing with me as I’m always right 😉) but most importantly the joy of seeing your faces when you pass.

Ladies and gentlemen,

I know I’ve been off grid for a while 🙄
But I’ve been a busy bee 🐝 heading towards the end of the year.

It’s been an amazing year with it being my first year of single digit unsuccessful students 🙌

The tally this year was 119 first go attempts and only 8 needing a second go (I’ve only got one left this year so I’m still going to be safe 😉). At the end of the day, it’s all up to them to get it right and I’m so very proud of you all 🤓

To all my students this year both current and gone, I have loved 🥰 teaching you all.

There’s been plenty of laughs 🤣 plenty of silly moments 🤪 and of course the crazy moments we’ve had with other drivers who like to keep us on our toes 😡

A big thank you also goes out to all the parents who do most of the hard yards and make my job easier 😇 thank you.

I’m wishing you all a wonderful Xmas 🎄 and an exciting new year ahead 🎉

Ladies and gentlemen, old Tony is up to his wicked ways again 😈

This is Jessica, her Mother Shanna had messaged me a couple of days before her test with the usual message of “I hope she passes, I’m nervous for her and if possible can I have a picture of her standing near the service NSW sign”? 🙄

So at first, my reply was the usual too “She’s ready and she’ll be fine as I don’t take kids in for a test if I think they won’t pass and I’ll take a picture for you”. 😎

So Jess passes her test at Warrawong
🚗✅ 😊👍 and then I come up with a great idea 💡 I tell Jess “Let’s just take a picture of you with an L plate and we’ll send it to mum with the comment…This is how it went” 😈😈

We both sat in the car and waited for the message to be read and after the initial shock I did the “right” thing and sent the P plate photo with the caption “This is how it really went”. 😇

Jess, you were very easy to teach and I wish I planned our lessons better as I couldn’t believe how many times I went “let’s go her today” and your reply “we’ve already done that” 🤦‍♂️

I do also appreciate all the inside gossip you gave me about my past and current students 😉

I’ll miss our conversations but I’m really happy you got the result you deserved.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is Miss Lilli.

Sometimes, it’s not just about teaching students how to drive 🚙, sometimes you do bit of counselling. I’m surprised how much it happens but it’s all good. I love putting on my “Dad” hat on 🎩 and giving them my words of wisdom 👨🏻‍🦳 and to be totally honest, our time together was spent doing a bit of counselling for each other 🙃🤪

But in all seriousness, you were a very easy student to teach (even in the early days). It didn’t matter what challenge I threw at you, you just nailed it. 🤩

Miss Lilli did her test today in Warrawong and absolutely smashed it 🚗✅😀👍

I will miss our chats, I will definitely miss our chats 🥺, I will miss the laughs and I’m so glad you got the result you deserved today.

Just remember all the advice I gave you and keep being you 😎

Ps….i hope your Dad likes the “free” air freshener

Ladies and gentlemen, this time we’re going on a spiritual journey 🧚‍♀️🩷☯️. This is the lovely Jade and she made sure the universe was on her side for today’s test.

The lucky socks 🍀 check ✅
The favourite shirt with an inspirational quote “an imagined place or state of things in which everything is perfect” check ✅
And most importantly…the right approach ✅

The crazy thing about all of this was I asked her what her favourite number was and she said 24. and while we were sitting there waiting for her to test to start, we saw an old guy with a Lakers
t-shirt and the number on the shirt was 24!!! 🤯
It was a sign 🙌

Was it fate? Let’s just say yes as today Jade smashed her test @ Warrawong

Jade, I’ll miss the giggles we had along the way, I’ll miss the little sad puppy dog 🐶look you’d give me when I wouldn’t bail you out of situations and I’ll definitely miss the happy, kind and caring person that you are. You didn’t just care about yourself, you always worried about others and how they were progressing too. 😇

Lastly, I’ll end with you were one of my favourites 🫶 but now you’re on your own and you’ll be forgotten like yesterday’s news 🤣🤣

Ladies and gentlemen,

This one might be my greatest achievement yet 🏆

This is Jason Jenkins everyone and the kid had skill, he had sass and unfortunately he had EVERY excuse under the sun ☀️

We did lessons to get going and at the start of this year I got the “I want to get my P’s asap” message. 🙄

My students know that you’ve got to show me you can do it all properly before you get the green light from me 🚦to go and do your test.

So each time before our lesson I would get the message “Tomorrow I’m going to drive really well, you just wait…I promise” and what did I get??? BROKEN PROMISES 🤪

The worst part about this wasn’t the lack of ex*****on, it was the bull$h!t excuses that came with the errors….

You ran a stop sign = “There’s no one coming”. 💩

You ran another stop sign = “Swear to God it felt like it”. 💩💩

You missed a headcheck = “That doesn’t count because I did it after”. 💩💩💩

You’re speeding = “Just had to get up the hill you know”? 💩💩💩💩

You needed to give way to them = “They have to give way to me because I’m Jason Jenkins”. 💩💩💩💩💩

You get the picture 🤔 and with each error i pointed out, Jason would hit me with “Ok, restart now”. Ummmmm that doesn’t happen on a test mate so yeah nah……🙅‍♂️

So after a challenging couple of months Jason went into Warrawong today and did his test and smashed it 😱🚗🤷🏻‍♂️✅🤣🤣🤣

Thankfully, today you did what I always knew you could. There was never a doubt about you ability. I’m really glad that you passed first crack and I’ll miss our drives as they were fun. Will I come across another student like you…..let’s hope not 🤣🤣

Ladies and gentlemen,

Some of my students might look at this photo and think the worst??? 😱😱😱

Is this the first time in 5 years someone has taken 3 attempts to pass 🙄 they all know about my little list (I keep a record of who passes 1st go and those who need a 2nd go… which isn’t many thankfully).

The three fingers represents how many instructors Miss Izzy has had. 👨‍🏫👨‍🏫👨‍🏫

So mum contacted me and apparently she had “broken” the other 2 so now it was my chance to takeover 😬

So after our first lesson I asked “Did I do a good job”? The reply was “She liked you, you’re not like the other two. One was too chatty and the other was old and grumpy”
Sounds like a pretty similar description of myself 😉

Anyways, there were a few “interesting” drives and we did have fun along the way. I won’t forget the day you owed me $50 from a little bad habit 😉 or the fact that a solid line at the end of the street means “wait” not “stop” go figure…🤪

Thankfully, today Izzy got it all right on her test @ Corrimal and smashed it 🚗✅😊👍 Thankfully……it wasn’t like our drive prior which I like to call our “Fu@k up” run.
I’d rather silly mistakes happen with me prior and not with them. 😎

Ladies and gentlemen, I know we’re not in America 🇺🇸 but in the spirit of the NFL 🏈 and the Super Bowl….today we had a touchdown!!!

This is miss Georgia and just like Patrick Mahomes……she’s a winner 🥇

She did her test today @ Warrawong and absolutely smashed it 🚗✅😀👍

What to say about Georgia 🤔 was the conversation flowing? Well I held up my end of the bargain 🗣️

You were definitely shy at first but you came out of your shell and I can’t believe how quickly you improved.

What I’ll miss the most is the cheeky smile and the puppy dog stare when you made a little mistake…..it was like “can I get away with that please”?

Yeah nah…..🙄

I’m so happy you got the result you deserved today and I wish you the best at becoming a cheerleader for the dragons 🤣
Note: Georgia is a really good dancer so I’m pretty sure that’s not on her to do list.

Ladies and gentlemen,

Every now and then I like to give certain students nicknames depending on characteristics they show when driving 😎

This is Sofie and if you look closely at those hands of hers you might work out what her nickname was 😉

She was aptly named “GORILLA GRIP 🦍”
She had a hold of the steering wheel tighter than a deadbolt on a prison cell door. There was no way she was letting go and that made it challenging for me when I needed to correct her steering 💪

Thankfully over time it began to ease and you ended up getting it all right…..and Sofie did her test @ Warrawong and “crushed” it like my poor steering wheel 🚗✅👍😜

What I’ll miss is the laughs…..we had so many. The time we put Belle in the car and we were talking about Netflix and I interrupted her and said “what are you watching now” and she told me the title of a show instead of the bus ahead that was about to pull out. 🤣

And my favourite day was during peak hour coming back from Shellharbour and we saw all the “posh” cars flying up the left lane trying to get ahead of as many cars as they could (because they’re better than us you know 🙄) and so I said “Let’s get in the left lane and go a little bit slower as we’re learning 😉). We counted 15 cars that were flying up our ass then when they saw us it was an “oh s**t 💩 “ moment for them and they desperately tried to merge back into all the traffic.

There was never a dull moment, that’s for sure. I’m really happy you got the result you deserved and I’m looking forward to our next drive (apparently we need to keep doing lessons according to Sofie).

Ladies and gentlemen, buckle up for this one as it’s going to be a long one 🤗

So Lyndsay and I used to work together at the RTA and we’ve known each other now for about “cough cough” 20 years. 👨🏻‍🦳👵🏻

I figured when Liv got her licence I’d had nothing to do with her as Lyndsay used to be an examiner and I figured she’d still know enough to teach her correctly.

When I got the call to teach her some finer points I figured it’ll be easy….and it was….until the Manual car was bought. 😬

I’m pretty sure the phone call went “f@ck this, she’s your problem now as I can’t deal with her” and on the day of the lesson what did I walk into???

FIREWORKS 🎆 🔥☄️🧨🧨🎇🤯🤯

“She won’t listen to me”

“Mum stresses me out”

“She’s always speeding”

“She nearly killed us”

“Pfft, no I didn’t, I’m a good driver”

You get the picture…..2 hotheads 🤬🤬 in one car didn’t work. So I took over just like Dr Phil and played mediator 👨🏼‍⚕️ and thankfully it worked. Maybe not straight away…but we got there 😇

Today, Liv did her test @ Warrawong and smashed it 🚗✅😀👍

Now, Liv what can I say about your driving? 🤔

Will I miss the speeding? No 🙄
Will I miss the mistakes with a “ah well” attitude? No 🙄
Will I miss going through blind roundabouts “hoping” no one’s coming? No 🙄
Will I miss our drives? Yes 🥹

Seriously, I was really impressed with how quickly you picked everything up and you were easy to teach (most of the time 😉)

It was definitely an adventure from start to finish and you will be missed…..however, the comment you wrote about doing another picture for me (see above) was hurtful.
So hence, you have a little poopy emoji in your hand….so guess what? **t 💩

Ladies and gentlemen, happy new year 🥳 and what a way to start it off….🎇🎆🎇

Go BIG or go home…..this is Brent, and the “tank” behind him is what he did his test in today.

People always ask me if it’s a good idea to use their car for a test and my reply is always “if they know how to drive it, why not”? Remember, it’s not what you drive, it’s HOW you drive…😉

Thank god I convinced Mum that it was a good idea as today Brent was one little mistake off perfection @ Warrawong 🚗✅👍😁

Side note: Mum wanted him to do his test in a Suzuki Swift 👸🏼💋💄🧚‍♀️

Mate, it was great to have helped throughout the year and I’ll definitely not forget the first time we drove in your car.
We did hill starts on thirroul road and the Beast took off with no acceleration 🤯

I’ll miss our chats about work, sports and all the “updates” the car has gotten along the way. Super proud that you got the result you deserved. 😎
