On site in Carrum Downs this afternoon, to diagnose this little Holden Astra that had stopped running.
This customer was previously informed by their local mechanic, that their vehicle was due for a timing belt kit.
Unfortunately, the customer let it go and the result was a snapped timing belt (as pictured)
More often than not, neglecting to have a timing belt replaced at its scheduled intervals, results in costly repairs when engine damage occurs.
So it's always best to have these things done when required, to avoid unnecessary costs and inconvenience.
