🎉🚗 32 YEARS OF KERRY! THAT’S A LOT OF CARS, CUSTOMERS AND COFFEES! 🚗🎉
Back in 1994, when mullets were questionable, cars were a little less fancy, and mobile phones were the size of a brick, a strapping young lad by the name of Kerry walked through the doors of Bumpa-T-Bumpa at the Gympie Village Shopping Centre and began his career in the automotive industry under the watchful eye of the late Graham Evans.
Little did anyone know that this young bloke would still be here 32 YEARS LATER! 😂
In 2004, Graham sold the franchise to Paul and Michele Holter, and Kerry stuck around as one of our Managers. He then had a little adventure down at the Nambour store for a few years before eventually finding his way back home to Gympie.
Over the years, Kerry has seen just about everything. Autobarn acquiring Bumpa-T-Bumpa, moving stores THREE times, and more staff come and go than we can count. Through it all, Kerry has remained a constant, sharing his knowledge, helping customers and delivering fantastic customer service.
We're pretty sure he's seen it all, heard it all and probably answered the same question about 10,000 times — and somehow, he still keeps coming back for more!
After an incredible 32 YEARS of service, Kerry has decided its time to spread his wings, step back a little and start his own business. We reckon he's earned the right to do things his own way for a change!
BUT DON'T PANIC, GYMPIE! 😱
We're not getting rid of him that easily! While Kerry will be reducing his hours and you won't see him around the store as often as you're used to, he'll still be here EVERY SATURDAY.
So, if you've been relying on Kerry to answer all your automotive questions, don't worry — you've still got your Saturday fix! 😉🔧
From all of us at AUTOBARN GYMPIE, a massive THANK YOU, Kerry, for 32 years of hard work, loyalty, laughs and outstanding customer service. Your part of the furniture around here — and after 32 years, we're not sure we'd know what to do with ourselves if you weren't! 😂
Congratulations on an amazing milestone, Kerry! We wish you all the very best with your new business venture.
