RIDE OF THE WEEK 🔥 — 1962 BUBBLE TOP

This week we had the pleasure of working on this seriously cool and rare ’62 Bubble Top for its lucky owner, Leighton.

Lucky for us, we got handed the job of making an already awesome car that little bit better. 👀

And on this one, we went a little further than our usual setups.

We wanted speed, but we also wanted to retain a fully functional self-levelling management system — and that’s where things get interesting.

This one is running our latest setup:

💨 True 3/8” high-flow valve block
💨 Dual Viair 485 compressors pushing 200 PSI
💨 5-gallon air tank
💨 Stainless hardlines for a bit of extra bling
💨 Slam Specialties airbags all round
💨 Relocated front shocks
💨 Custom Pro Image tubular arms to get that extra bit of drop in the rear
💨 Accuair Self-levelling management

The result? Fast when you want it, controlled when you need it, and fully mod-plated for Queensland roads. 🇦🇺

This is now the latest package we’re offering here at Mex’s Garage for these cars.

We’re always looking at ways to push things further — whether that’s bigger compressors, faster valve technology or smarter management systems. As the industry keeps moving forward, so do we.

The goal is simple: keep pushing the boundaries and give our customers the best-performing, best-engineered setup we can.

This week we had John’s 2026 Ford Ranger Super Duty in the shop for a serious load-assist upgrade. 🔥

This one isn’t about slamming it to the ground — it’s about making a capable 4WD even more versatile.

We fitted an Airbag Man rear airbag setup, teamed up with a LogIQ management system and valve block, giving John the ability to adjust the rear suspension depending on what he’s carrying.

The setup includes:

✔️ Airbag Man rear airbags
✔️ LogIQ management system & valve block
✔️ 4-gallon air tank
✔️ On-board compressed air

And the best part? That onboard air isn’t just for the suspension.

Once John’s been out hitting the trails, he can use the system to air up his tyres, blow out the vehicle or canopy, and take care of all those little jobs that come with getting out and about off-road.

More load support. More adjustability. More capability.

That’s what we love about air suspension — it doesn’t always have to be about getting low. Sometimes it’s about making your 4WD work harder. 💪

OPERATION NIGHTFALL — FORTITUDE VALLEY 🦂🌙

The mission continued into the heart of Fortitude Valley.

This time we hit some of the Valley’s biggest hotspots, putting the Murciélago right in the middle of Brisbane’s nightlife.

Neon lights.
Late-night streets.
One very low Lamborghini.

A V12 supercar probably isn’t what most people expect to see cruising through the Valley at night… but that’s exactly why we brought it here. 😏

Another location ticked off.
Operation Nightfall continues.

Location: Grey Street Tunnel.
Mission: Find somewhere the V12 could really make some noise. 👀

From the bright lights of the C*D, we headed underground and into the Grey Street Tunnel.

Concrete walls. Empty streets. One very loud Lamborghini Murciélago.

That V12 echoing through the tunnel was something else. 🔥

Four locations down… and the night is far from over.

The second stop on Operation Nightfall took us somewhere a little greener...

A V12 Lamborghini, deep in the heart of Brisbane, surrounded by lights, gardens and not a whole lot of places for a car like this to hide. 😂

The Murciélago might be built for the open road, but there’s something pretty special about seeing it sitting low against the backdrop of Roma Street Parkland.

Three locations down.
The night is still young.
And the mission isn’t over yet.
