This is the bit that disappears once the bonnet closes.

Getting a conversion right means working through the mechanical setup, wiring, inputs, control and all the little details that need to play nicely together.

The finished result might look simple. Getting there usually isn’t.

Dropping a 1VD into a different chassis is the easy part, it’s just nuts and bolts.

The mechanical swap is straightforward. But the electronics is usually where turns into a massive headache.

If you don't have a solid plan for your ECU, the wiring harness, the gearbox control, and getting the factory dash to actually communicate, you're gonna be stuck in the shed for months.

Don't leave the nervous system as an afterthought.

Plan the electronics right from the start.

A closer look at the hardware in this 1VD compound turbo setup.

There’s a lot going on under the bonnet on a build like this, and once the hardware starts getting serious, the control side needs to keep up.

Exactly the sort of setup we like getting stuck into.

Wow!! Since we started including MAC valves as part of our kits sometime this year, we have gone through nearly a 100 kits.

Thank you for the support guys!

We will be running some INTERESTING specials later this year, so keep your eyes open 😉

Two completely different jobs, two proper solutions for the 4JJ3.

The CAN Hacker 2.0 sorts out your transmission control, fixing the electronic logic so it actually shifts how you want.

But you also need to physically support it, and that’s exactly what our billet Transmission Brace does.

It braces the physical mount.

Sort the electronics, sort the hardware, and get the rig driving the way it actually should.

Chucked a long-range tank in your Isuzu and now the fuel gauge sits on full then drops suddenly?

Drives you mental.

You have zero idea what’s actually left in the tank until it drops like a stone. That’s why we built the Boostec Fuel Level Calibrator.

It lets you actually adjust when the gauge starts moving from full, and exactly when the low-fuel warning kicks in.

Suits both standard and aftermarket setups.

Stop guessing how much diesel you've got left and calibrate it properly.

Always good dropping in at Only LandCruisers.

A lot of the work we do sits at the point where the mechanical build meets the electronics - ECU, transmission control, wiring and getting all the different parts of the vehicle working together properly.

Plenty of interesting projects coming through these doors.

A proper turbo setup is never just one part.

Actuator control, sensor routing, heat management and hardware placement all need to work together if you want reliable performance under real conditions.

This is the kind of detail that matters when you’re dealing with high-load diesel setups.

Smooth transmission behaviour doesn’t happen by accident.

This is real-world 4JJ3 road testing: checking lock-up behaviour, cruise control logic, shift response and TCM data while the vehicle is actually being driven.

Bench testing matters, but the road is where the final behaviour gets proven.
