NB: Facebook has another 48 days before I can change the name again. So in that time I am searching for a name that captures exactly what this Social Club stands for.
1 - Its not a Motorbike or Car club, an MC or SMC club.
2- Its a social club that aims to bring as many people together as possible. So if you ride a bike, drive a car, drive a bus, ride a scooter or rock up in a Combie Van, you are equally as welcome in our club.
The idea is to create a logo and shirt that unites everyone who wears it, and identifies them as belonging to a club that is built on the Patriotic Love of our Country, AUSTRALIA.
During the search for the names, as well as meeting with representatives of MC and SMC clubs, and to make sure no names can cross over misrepresent either them or us, I have put this name forward as something that uniquely describes what I am trying to build.
"Mates of the Southern Cross - Social Club".
It says exactly what we are all about in one sentence. We are just a bunch of mates all over Australia, both male and female, coming together to create local chapters that are all independently run, not a national chapter telling everyone what to do, but a club where people who may feel lost and alone and not sure if they have like minded patriots out there, can easily rock up to the local chapter BBQ's etc, and find a place they belong too.
The first Logo design has been made as simple as possible.
The Wedge Tailed Eagle, our biggest bird of prey, the ruler of our Skies, holding a shield to symbolise the protective nature that our Social Club is aiming to build in each city.
Jackets, Shirts, Hoodies etc will all be made available once the designs are all locked in, and will consist of basic club merchandise, as well as custom super patriotic and Aussie themed designs, as well as a custom range for Veterans to wear etc as well.
Anyone wanting to create a local Social MC in their region, please let me know, as there are strict protocols and practices that must be adhered to, to make sure you are not only welcome in your regions, but also supported via a clear understanding of what you can and cannot do in your region etc.
Let me know your thoughts below, please save any negative comments as that is not the intent of this group. This club wants to create a space where we can all get together, fight against a common cause if needed, support our elderly members with everyday help if needed, and create a safe and strong community, in a time where violence goes unchecked in many communities across Australia.
Most of all, I want this to be done the right way, so in 10 years time, the people who join, grow the patriotic love and support for their communities, can have a national network of support to help make their local region a place known to be full of vibrant and passionate Aussie Patriots.
Cheers,
Jas
