The Cycle-Rama CR470 is one seriously underrated cam!

Designed as a strong bolt-in mid-to-top-end cam, it’s perfectly suited to the lighter Softail chassis.

Tested in a completely stock 2026 Breakout 117” retaining the factory heads, throttle body, manifold and injectors.

Very nice work once again from Arron & the team at Coops Custom Cycles👌🏼

This is another perfect example of why a professional dyno tune matters. A base map might get the bike running, but it simply doesn’t replace having the combination properly dialled in on the dyno.

This 2024 FXLRS 117” arrived running our APE/CR 483 with a base map, with the owner noticing poor low/mid-range performance and part-throttle manners.

After testing different baffle configurations and properly tuning the combination:

🔥 30+ ft-lb gained between 2750–3000rpm
🔥 10hp gained at 6000rpm
🔥 120hp / 140 ft-lb
🔥 Smooth enough to cruise in top gear from 1800rpm without a hint of cam surge

The difference isn’t just the number at full throttle, it’s how the bike behaves everywhere else.

Base maps simply don’t cut it. Get your bike tuned by someone who knows what they’re doing.

The APE/CR 485 - our most popular bolt-in horsepower cam for the Factory Gen 1 engines, and it’s proving to be every bit as good in the Gen 2 platform. 🔥

Originally designed as a high-performance bolt-in grind for the Gen 1 Factory 117”, the 485 has always been about making real horsepower without sacrificing street manners.

This 2025 Factory 117” Gen 2 is a perfect example:
