Murray has based himself in Gladstone for the past seven years. He has been commissioned by clients living locally and interstate. Since childhood Murray has had a talent for all art mediums, from charcoal drawing, illustration, pencil drawings, oil painting and cartooning. Acting as a freelance artist his work consisted of murals, sign writing, caricatures, portraits, oil paintings and illustrations. In 1998 he decided to try his hand at airbrushing and discovered a whole new world of artistry. Painting on anything that stood still Murray has learned many different airbrush techniques, including Mike Lavallees world-renowned TRUE FIRE technique. He began airbrush motorbike tanks, appearing in bike shows across Queensland, winning awards such as best bike in show at the Frogs Hollow Bike Show, and progressed from there, airbrushing anything from guitars, bike helmets, cars, to bmx racing bikes. He also spent time working on the set of the Scooby-Doo movie, in Set design, using polystyrene carving and airbrushing to create lifelike props e.g. stone statues, rocks and boulders, wooden pylons and cobblestone streets. Basically if you can think of it, he can create it.
