Over recent months, we have been approached by a significant number of dealerships across various vehicle brands, all expressing interest in becoming authorised installers of IGLA security devices.
While we genuinely appreciate the interest, we have made the decision not to appoint dealerships as authorised IGLA installers at this time.
This decision has not been made lightly. From a business perspective, it would be easy to accept these opportunities and rapidly expand our installer network. However, IGLA Australia was not built on simply maximising sales. Our priority has always been, and will continue to be, protecting vehicles properly and maintaining the highest possible level of security for our customers.
Early on, we held discussions with a dealership about the possibility of offering IGLA installations internally. After careful consideration, we were unable to establish a structure that gave us complete confidence the security, consistency, and integrity of the product would not be compromised.
The reason is simple: IGLA security relies heavily on correct installation, controlled knowledge, and installer accountability.
Many of us have worked in dealership environments ourselves, and we understand how they operate. Dealerships often have multiple technicians working across many different vehicles, with staff changes occurring regularly. In such a high-turnover environment, it becomes extremely difficult to maintain the level of control and consistency required for a product like IGLA.
To have dealership technicians install IGLA, we would need to share detailed installation methods, security procedures, and sensitive product knowledge. If that information were to be handled incorrectly, passed around too broadly, or end up in the wrong hands, it could weaken the very security the product is designed to provide.
That is a risk we are not willing to take.
Every authorised IGLA installer in our network has undergone police checks and dedicated product training. Our installers are carefully selected, trusted, and trained to ensure each vehicle is secured correctly and responsibly.
If you are offered an aftermarket security product through a dealership, we strongly recommend asking whether the installation is being carried out by the dealership’s internal technicians or by an external, authorised specialist. This is an important question, because the quality and security of the installation can make all the difference.
To dealerships wanting to offer IGLA as an aftermarket option, we are still happy to work with you. However, installations must be carried out by one of our trusted and authorised IGLA installers.
We sincerely appreciate the interest from dealerships and the growing recognition of IGLA as a leading vehicle security solution. At this stage, our position remains clear: we will continue to protect the security of the product, the integrity of our installer network, and most importantly, the vehicles of our customers.
