Placid Ark Roadhouse - Coolup Closed The Placid Ark Roadhouse was proudly named after the co-winner of the Australian Champion Racehorse of the Year 1986-7.

Placid Ark was bred near Pinjarra and the name was offered long ago in memory of the exceptional achievements of a local racing legend. Long after his achievements, the shop is under local family management and has remained in the same hands since August 2014. The roadhouse moved to an independent status on 7th January, 2019.

Owned by George, Judith and Greg. We look forward to being of assistance, and to remain the best Roadhouse in WA, with Amazing food , great staff and some of the best fuel Prices. We have a restaurant open until 8.00pm daily and Take away available until 8:30pm daily. We now offer diesel fuel on ALL pumps after a major upgrade. 24hr fuel is available with use of the after hours payment terminal outside of shop hours.

Unfortunately the time has come for Greg to move on from Placid Ark.

On Friday 15th July Placid Ark will become a Vibe service station.

This change isn’t one we had planned, but sometimes plans are changed for you
and a hostile takeover finished our plans.

We would like to thank you for your support over the years, it has been much appreciated.

We would especially like to thank the Coolup Community who have been amazing throughout our almost 8 years

We are very sorry, but our staffing levels are again drained due to Covid.

The Roadhouse shop will close at 1.00pm today Saturday 11th June.

Fuel will still be available via our outdoor payment terminal.

We will open as normal on Sunday 12th June, but the shop will close at 1.00pm for the remainder of the day.

We will open as normal on Monday, and hope that we can fill all shifts next week!

Once again, we apologise for the inconvenience this may cause our customers.

Are you self motivated and have a happy outgoing personality?
Placid Ark have a vacancy for an afternoon shift cook with an immediate start.

You don't need any qualifications, but an interest in cooking would be beneficial.

Minimum of 25.5 hours a week with 3 starts (more hours may be available if required), adult (20+) hourly rate $29+ hr and more on weekends or public holidays.
