We made the mistake of staying at The Clog Barn over Christmas. We booked a 2 night stop over on our way through to Sydney. Where do I begin? At $150 a night, I expected a better standard of facility. Our cabin looked like it had not been updated since 1974 and had a dirty floor, we had to sweep it before we walked in, the fly screens had holes in them, just what you want in the middle of summer. The mattress had a big red/brown stain on it, clearly someone had bled on it at some stage and was only about 10cm thick, it was the most uncomfortable lumpy rock we had ever had the displeasure of sleeping on. We were so grossed out that we slept on our beach towels on top of the bed spread. We ended up freezing to death because the aircon was so cold and we did not have the option of opening the windows due to the holes in the fly screens. The calibre of people staying there also made us feel extremely unsafe. When I told the person at the front desk we were leaving a day early, he didn't even care. No questions why or if we were satisfied with our stay?
Horrible horrible place to stay and a rip off! They are clearly riding on the past reputation of the kitch restaurant and miniature town. Avoid this place at all cost!!
Here is a picture of my delft blue bird houses I was given one as a present from my mother in law who is Dutch I loved it so much a friend purchased two more on her way back to Sydney
