Awesome new tool I purchased to assist in used car inspections. This device gives an accurate reading of the paint thickness allowing me to confidently say if the car has been resprayed or repaired in the past.
Here is a VW Caravelle I did. You can see in the photos the first reading of 120 of the bonnet is a good indication that this panel is original. Where as the panel under the head light reading 319, gives me a strong reason to suspect that it has been resprayed in the past.
