Sunday was the pick of the day for the long weekend with some members of the CTC heading out to Yass Cars & Coffee. We had a convoy (police es**rt at one point) of 5 Torana's, a VL Commodore, a Monaro and an MX-5. Yass was lovely, the weather and grounds held up for a relaxing show with a bit of everything. It was awesome to run into family and friends out there! We finished the day with an awesome feed at the Yass Soldiers Club.

Hi John and Liz,
On behalf of the Canberra Torana Club, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for hosting the CTC shed visit at your place.
You were both incredibly accommodating and went out of your way to make everyone feel welcome. It was a fantastic event, and everyone who attended really appreciated the effort you put into opening up your home and shed to the club.
As a small thank you, one of our members has donated a large remote-controlled aeroplane for you to add to your shed display. Hopefully it finds a prominent spot amongst the other treasures and serves as a reminder of a great day with CTC.
Thanks again for your hospitality and generosity. It was very much appreciated by everyone.
Cheers,
Mark

Now the dust has settled and all CTC members and Torana's are home (some by trailer the next day), Toranafest 2026 was an absolute blast! Hunter Valley Torana Club really put on a fantastic weekend for everyone. Of the 518 entrants, CTC had 28 cars with 5 from NSW and 3 from QLD all coming together. It was really special to catch up with our interstate members who we have only been able to see over teams meetings, plenty of hugs and laughs shared by all. Thanks guys for making the journey!

CTC brought home some silverware; Helen with Ruby, and Corrina with Betty both winning awards! The club was really well represented, the marquees were life saving on the sweltering hot Sunday, thank you Cade for bringing them along. The CTC family are so welcoming we managed to sign 2 members up on the day.

Big shoutout to the Hunter Gateway Motel, Kini and her wonderful staff were so welcoming and provided the perfect place to park our trailers and party! The Bradford Hotel also put on a great feed after the big 3 days we had.

Check out our previous posts for more photos from the weekend, thanks Brookesy!

We can't wait to match it with Torana Nationals next year, October 29-31 2027, and make even more memories!
