👉 “How long will it take to get my motorhome?”

The answer really depends on whether you’re ordering a brand-new Avida motorhome built from scratch or purchasing a quality used motorhome from Roberts RV World. Here’s a clear comparison 👇

🆕 Ordering a Brand-New Avida Motorhome (Built From Scratch)

When you order a brand-new Avida motorhome, the process doesn’t start with the build straight away.

First, Avida needs to order the cab chassis from either Fiat or Iveco. Only once that cab chassis arrives at the Avida factory can the motorhome build begin.

From there, the motorhome is:

Built completely from the ground up

Fitted out using Avida’s proven standard layouts

Finished, tested, and quality checked

⏱ Typical timeframe:
➡️ Around 9 months from scratch
➡️ Up to 12 months if there are delays or extended wait times for the cab chassis

What’s the best age of a Motorhome to buy? 🤔🚐

This is a question I get asked all the time, and the honest answer is… it depends on what you’re looking for.

👉 Brand New
Perfect if you want the latest layout, full factory warranty, known history from day one, and the confidence that everything is untouched. You also get to order it exactly how you want it.

👉 2–5 years old
This is often the sweet spot for many buyers. The motorhome has already had its initial run-in, any minor teething issues are usually sorted, and you can still get modern design, great condition, and excellent long-term value.

👉 5–10 years old
Still a very smart buy when well maintained. Motorhomes hold their value extremely well, and a quality Australian-built unit can give you many years of reliable touring at a lower entry price.

👉 10+ years old
Can still be a fantastic option if it’s been properly looked after. Condition, service history, and build quality matter far more than age alone.
