The last bullbar of 2025 for us here at Punchy Fabrications.
We got a message in October some time for a quote on one of our tube bullbars for the 80 series, from a great young lady, Polly, as she was planning to get one for her partner as a Christmas gift.
It was such a great and brave idea, because generally the bull bars we make are so personal and individual, as there are quite a few decisions in how we put these bars together, this was the first one that someone else and us made these choices ourselves.
So together, Polly and I made a plan to get this done as the BEST Christmas gift for an 80 series owner, one could wish for.
Using our custom 16mm plate tow points, we got to work on the Huron milling machine to get placement and stick out spot on, then coupled with 10mm plate for the low mount winch setup, to be bolted on the underside of the rails. This would allow for most low mount winches to bolt straight on, as we couldn’t be sure what the original winch was or what the next winch upgrade would be.
Unlike other bars of this type, we make these now so that it bolts straight on, WITHOUT the need to cut any of the factory parts of the 80 series, and does not require the removal of the apron panel either.
We had a fun time communicating together, as we could not message Polly to give updates or ask questions when ever we liked, in fear of her partner being near by, and him going “whos that?”….
We were on a strick reply only when we were messaged, so we knew the coast was clear 🤣🤣🤣.
Anyway, we got it all done, and didn’t give the game away at all. We have been told, it was a real shock, and the blind fold reveal was worth the effort.
We are so happy to have been involved in making at least one persons Christmas unforgettable.
Merry Christmas Polly, and to everyone, enjoy the build pics and final pics are on his 80 series.
