Barney the Bus - Toyota Coaster build from the ground up

15/12/2024

On a very hot, humid weekend, we started to strip Barney to a bare frame. Sweat where sweat should never be! Tears because I couldn’t manage to remove bolts and wanted to throw something. It has rained and rained more but here is the intro to Barney, what he was in his past life and what we plan for him moving forward.

Welcome to the adventures of Barney the Bus!! We hope you enjoy watching and learning with us as we create our future home from the ground up! We know we have a massive job ahead of us - it’s not like we don’t have anything else going on in our lives hehe. Luckily, I am the ideas girl and Matty is the “omg babe seriously” but always makes it work, doer!

Even though Barney has come to us sooner than we originally planned, we are so thankful that we get to embark on this adventure together.

There will be plenty of tears and fights, giving up and pure frustration and pain for both of us, but we know the good will outweigh any bad and Matty knows I’m always right!!!
Indi is along for the journey, already very comfortable in her future home. Rest assured, there will be Indi hair in very part of his project lol.
We are super excited and hope we can entertain and enlighten you along the way ☺️ Peta, Matty and Indi.
