Only two weeks to go until the race ute’s first test outing.
It might not look dramatically different on the surface, but there’s been a huge amount of work behind the scenes. It’s now running new brake pads, braided lines, race fluid, a fresh radiator, lightweight wheels, and a revised suspension setup with 2-inch rear lowering blocks and adjusted front coilovers to match.

Stripping the interior turned into more of a challenge than expected — the car didn’t want to run without the radio, heater controls, and a few other components. After a bit of problem-solving, that’s all been sorted, and the interior is now properly stripped and significantly lighter.

Next on the list is fitting a proper A/C delete kit to replace the temporary belt setup (no more embarrassing squeal on startup), and getting the regulation tyres sorted through Peter Clarke.

As most of you will know that the trusty e36 has been sold earlier this year as we have moved out to Australia. We’ve only been here 12 weeks but I’ve quickly managed to locate this beast. It’s a Ford Falcon XR6 Ute with the legendary Barra 4.0 straight 6(unfortunately not a v8)

Really looking forward to be racing it (hopefully next year) in the Production Ute Racing Qld series. Thanks to Peter for all your help so far!

Race weekend has arrived for the final time in 2024. Really excited about going to my local track Donington Park Race Circuit with 750MC - Roadsports.

The race will be lived streamed tomorrow. I will post the link when it comes. Qualifying is at 9.55 and the race at 1.50.

Awesome pics from Cadwell park. It was a really good weekend and the car was going really well until the throttle arm broke! Gutted I was catching 2nd by around .7 a lap after being stuck behind a car that got the jump on me at the start.

Really looking forward to Donington in October

Qualified 9th overall 4th in class. Really pleased with the position and time but definitely more to come one the race.

Ready for Cadwell Park this weekend with the 750MC - Roadsports. Really excited for this one as it’s the most demanding track in the uk. A few new mods including slightly wider arches to fit the new wheels and tyres 🛞 not had chance to test it to 🤞 its all good 😬
