🚐 Action Group's latest newsletter is out!

It’s been a month full of progress, innovation, and celebration here at Apollo! From launching our refreshed CTG Daintree motorhome, complete with sleek new features and interiors inspired by iconic Aussie landscapes, to transforming our factory yard into a safer, more efficient space, the team has been firing on all cylinders. 🔧✨

We’ve also celebrated some amazing long service milestones, recognising the dedication and loyalty that keep Apollo rolling strong. 👏

Meet the Makers: Geoff Gemmell 🧡
Fabricator & Welder – Adventure Camper Line | 16 years with Apollo Manufacturing

Geoff has spent 16 years at Apollo Manufacturing, becoming a cornerstone of the Adventure Camper line. As supervisor and lead welder in the weld bay, Geoff brings decades of hands-on experience to every camper that leaves the factory.

Each day starts with a workshop meeting to plan what needs to be made over the next few days. Geoff works on sheet metal components like battery boxes and gas lockers, as well as production essentials such as racking, trolleys, and jigs. It’s a hands-on role that’s both technical and rewarding.

For Geoff, the best part is the team. “We’ve got a really good bunch here. The camaraderie, the laughs, some of these people are seriously funny,” he says. Coupled with family-friendly hours and a short commute, it’s a role that works perfectly for him both on and off the clock.

His advice for newcomers? “Remain calm. Don’t sweat it.” And if he had to sum up Apollo in three words? Steady. Consistent. Reliable. 😎

Meet the Makers: Peter Davis (Pete) 🧡

RV Assembler | 7.5 years with Apollo

Pete has been with Apollo for over seven years and brings a wealth of experience to the team. Previously a team leader in the adventure camper and Coromal caravan lines, he’s also had a hand in building Tourers and Windsor Rapids. His journey with Apollo began after another company shut down, Apollo stepped in, offering him and several others an opportunity to continue doing what they love.

Now based in Bay 3, Pete’s day kicks off with a morning meeting, followed by a check-in with his team leader to map out the day’s tasks. A typical day sees him fitting Ironman rooftop tents, installing fridges, torquing bolts for canopies, and wiring up 12V systems, a process he’s mastered with precision.

What keeps him coming back each day? “The people. It’s definitely not the traffic getting here,” he jokes. But there’s truth in it, Pete thrives in a small, tight-knit team where everyone respects one another and knows their role.

For Pete, the job is rewarding not just because of the final product, but because of the variety each project brings. His advice to anyone new on the floor? “Take the time to learn. Work hard and you’ll be fine.”

Three words to describe Apollo? Rewarding. Challenging. Supportive. Just like Pete. 😎
