Pretty cool day to have Boat Coach and Brisbane Sportfishing running side by side. Coach Dave taking the lads out for their licences on the Brisbane public holiday.

I had two Americans on board for some fishing. It was tough going due to the snapper close season, but got some action and had some bloody good weather to enjoy!

For those who don’t know, Boat Coach started with topwater fishing. I was a high school teacher looking for a way to go out on my own, and it clicked….combine the education degree with the thing I actually loved doing on the water.

Almost 5 years later, I’m teaching recreational and commercial licences and fishing Brisbane Sportfishing

Quick day in the life of some bar crossing training. Had 1.1m ESE swell so it’s far from anything crazy but some nice rollers made for a good training day.

Generally I use the, I do, we do, you do approach to all the main channels. As well as getting current tracks at GPS marks respectively

Side note, sight casted a massive kingy on PE3 bent the trebles out on my csp110

Return trip through South Passage. Small run out ride, 5 knots southerly. Some big rollers coming through but channel was pretty defined.

Coming in is always easier than heading out in my opinion, just need to be patient
