Here is why we decided to discontinue HORIZON Saturday's;

Leading up to our decision, our events attendance continued to grow to the point of setting new records for the event.

For the last event, our only option was to advertise less on purpose to achieve a lower attendance. This was successful.

However, understandably Brickworks made it clear to us their concerns surrounding obvious issues; hoons.

Brickworks did not grant permission due to their understandable concerns (based on their correspondence).

The issue with obtaining is not limited to Brickworks, it is a problem with gaining permission for almost every other venue in Adelaide.

Every other Car Show has experienced this issue in one way or another.

We ultimately decided we wanted to end our event when it was right, instead of hosting an event that did not meet your expectations.

The Adelaide Car Scene will continue to get worse as long as people continue to maintain a negative attitude towards other events;
- more and more venues will deny permission for events.

- people will continue to create unnecessary safety issues.

- other events will continue to create unnecessary drama between themselves and other events.

Therefore, Adelaide will have less good car shows.

We have made the difficult decision to bring our monthly car show, HORIZON Saturday's to it's natural end.

After over 2 years, 26 events every month, it has ended.

This does not mean it's the end for HORIZON, we will soon come back with something different and hopefully better.

Throughout it's 2 years of existence it created a community with thousands of people engaging in it.

Connections, friendships, memories, experiences and so much more that would not have existed without it now exist because of it.

Without you, it would not have existed. HORIZON was once defined by it's challenges in a negative way by some of you, we promised to overcome that challenge; we did.

We consistently achieved South Australia's largest monthly Car Show, with over 1 thousand vehicles attending to some events.

We hope aome of you use our success as your inspiration, to create milestones more significant than ours.

HORIZON was your achievement as much as ours.

📣 ANNOUNCEMENT
Before this event, we set the difficult challenge of achieving zero hooning.

We can all agree last night was a success;
• up to 1,000 vehicles.
• safe & positive SAPOL presence.
• 0 hooning, putting attendees in danger.

We hit capacity, it was one of our largest turnouts ever ❤️

This event, as a team, we were not going to accept any less than zero hooning. Here's what we did different;
• we used the community as the consequence for hooning.
• we set an expectation with SAPOL of what we needed from them, to PREVENT hooning.
• we made our volunteer teams purpose clear, because they would deliver.

Thankyou to our volunteers, thankyou to SAPOL, but most of all thank YOU. Our attendees.

We wouldn't be hosting such amazing events without you ❤️
