Replacement coil requirements can vary in dimensions, tube configuration, fin arrangement and application. Our coils are manufactured according to the available equipment details, drawings, dimensions or project specifications.

Inside a Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger: The Tube Bundle

At the centre of a Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger is the tube bundle, the assembly through which heat transfer takes place between the process fluids.

This custom tube bundle is pictured during fabrication at our facility in Sharjah, UAE.

Tube bundle requirements can vary considerably depending on the existing heat exchanger, including the tube diameter, tube quantity, length, material, tube sheet, baffle arrangement and equipment dimensions.

For replacement requirements, the starting point is often an existing drawing, equipment details, dimensions or the original tube bundle itself.

This is particularly relevant when an existing Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger or oil cooler requires a replacement bundle rather than an entirely new assembly.

Sometimes the equipment still has years of service left - it is the coil that needs attention.
This evaporative condenser coil replacement is a good example of the kind of custom manufacturing work we handle at Al Tabreed Industries.
Rather than working around a standard off-the-shelf size, the replacement is developed around the requirements of the existing system - considering the coil dimensions, connections, arrangement and operating application.
From tube preparation and bending through fabrication, assembly and final quality checks, the process is carried out with one objective: to produce a replacement that integrates properly with the existing equipment.
For us, local manufacturing is not only about making a coil. It gives us the flexibility to work with non-standard dimensions, replacement requirements and application-specific specifications that are common in industrial cooling systems.

What does it take to turn a cooling requirement into a reliable water chiller system?

For a staff accommodation facility in Al Quoz, Dubai, it meant more than simply supplying equipment.
The Al Tabreed Industries team managed the complete project — from manufacturing 10-ton water chillers at our facility to delivery, positioning, and on-site installation.
The chillers were manufactured and supplied within 20 working days, followed by installation at site within 4–5 working days.

Every project comes with its own requirements. Cooling capacity, configuration, available space, site conditions, transportation, positioning, and installation all need to work together. By controlling the manufacturing process, we can develop custom water chiller solutions around the actual application rather than relying only on standard ready-made units.
Water chillers can support a wide range of applications, from commercial and domestic cooling requirements such as staff accommodation, buildings, and facilities to industrial process cooling in manufacturing and other demanding environments.

This project demonstrates the value of working with a chiller manufacturer that understands the complete journey — not only how a chiller is built, but also how it needs to be transported, positioned, connected, and installed at the actual site.
